VIBERG BLACK CALF SUEDE DERBY SHOES & WHAT I WOULD ACTUALLY DO FOR A KLONDIKE BAR

Images via Division Road Inc.
These Black Calf Suede Derby Shoes from Viberg are handcrafted in Canada, using the 1035 last. They are Goodyear welted and feature French binding, in addition to an elegant dovetail heel. The eyelets are blind, the toe partially-structured, and the midsole natural. They cost 675 USD and come with two pairs of round waxed laces. This concludes the technical section of the post. Dude, how fucking nice are these shoes? Jesus. I would do some terrible things for a pair of Vibergs like that. Unspeakable things. Like legit crimes. And social faux pas. Such as farting in a crowded elevator or leaving a voicemail when a text would have sufficed. Never ask me what I would do for a Klondike Bar. Not because I would do something awful to obtain one, but because I’m not actually a huge fan of Klondike Bars. I’m a Chipwich man, myself. Don’t get it twisted: I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with Klondike Bars -- they’re fine. They’re just not my favorites. No judgement if you dig them. This is a safe space for ice cream sandwich lovers of all stripes. I’m not trying to get on the bad side of the Klondike lobby. I’m not trying to beef with the Klondike bear. The last thing I need is a bunch of Klondike Stans blowing up my comments section, talking hella shit about how the Klondike Bar has been around for nearly a century and how Chipwich went bankrupt twice and was eventually discontinued by Nestlé, due to concern over competition with the somewhat similar Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich, a controversial move that disappointed and angered many Chipwich lovers, including this guy. For fans of the ‘Wich, life goes on, but it will never be the same. Now back to Kelly, in the studio -RB
