Images via Rivet and Hide Ah, purple: the color of royalty and pimps. These are the x014 Purple Weft Jeans from Pure Blue Japan and if you wear them, you might have a shot at becoming the king of pimps. If you don't know what a weft is, you can either read this detailed explanation at Heddels or just believe me that they are the sideways threads. As you can see in the pictures, that means the inside of these jeans is a rich violet color that is sure to attract the attention of literally everyone in its vicinity. But despite the pop of purple, with extensive wear, these things will age like pretty much any other raw jean, revealing the white cores of the yarns. That's interesting, isn't it? Just agree with me. Validate me. You better validate me right the fuck now or I'll pull this blog over and make you wish you were never born. I know we, as a society, put a huge emphasis on being your own person, but it turns out that, no matter how much of a die hard individualist you are, the opinions of other people do still matter. Everyone seeks validation in some way. That's why Emerson wrote "The Poet", why Thoreau wrote Walden, why Kaczynski wrote the "Unabomber Manifesto" and a bunch of letters to Timothy McVeigh. There's a fun bit of trivia for you to chew on before bed. Sweet dreams, dear reader -RB
