At the risk of abusing an already meaningless word, I'm about to go full hipster on you. The hat above is the Santa Fe 6-panel strapback (available in olive and black) from The Ampal Creative, a headwear-and-more brand based out of Echo Park, one of LA's most notable hipster nests. A few weeks back, my wife and I wandered into their storefront, and ended up with a bowler hat and a button-up shirt respectively. The shirt, crafted from a delightfully slubby Japanese chambray, is -- alas! -- not available through their webstore, so I can't profile it here. It is thus that we come to this strapback and all its Southwestern splendor. The upper on this thing is fleece, allowing you to finally achieve your dream of wearing a baseball cap for the entire calendar year. The whole hat is crushable, so you can toss one in your weekender and look like you smoke a ton of pot wherever you go. I should also mention that this hat only costs 40 USD, making it one of the most affordable clothing items ever featured on this blog. Not to imply that you care, dear reader; we all know you're baller status and that money is no object.
